A SOLICITOR’S CASE.

Per Press Association

Wellington, March 3. In the Appeal Court this morning, before Messrs Justice Denuiston, Edwards and Cooper, the case of Charles Edward Harden, barrister and solicitor, Palmerston North, was heard. This was a motion on behalf of the Wellington Law Society to show cause why he should not be struck off the roll. Harden was acquitted at the Supreme Court, the defence being that he was muddled with drink, ana the money was paid over. The Court ordered him to be struck off the roll, but leave was granted that if in a reasonable time his conduct is shown to be snob that physical reformation has taken place he could apply for reinstatement. £ls 15s costs 'were allowed.
