NO TIME FOR COLLINS.

Press Association. ■WEnuNGTorr, July 24. To-day the Conciliation Board com* munoed the hearing of a dispute filed by the Wellington Operative Bakers’ Union. The Employers'Union intimated through one of their representatives that they objected to the presence of Mr Andrew Collins on the Board as he was secretary and member of the Workers’ Union, and they also objected to the outrageous de* mands filed. If the demands were granted half the bakehouses in Wellington would, it was stated, have to close. No matter what the Board decided it was the intention of the employers not to take notice of the Board, and to fight the matter out before the Arbitration Court. The chairman warmly protested against this decision of the employers, and of the unfairness of the remarks made. Eventually the employers’ representatives withdrew.
