Yorkshire defeated Warwickshire, Haigh taking six wickets for 27 and seven for 13 runs. The crowd becoming incensed at Lords, owing to no play in the match Middlesex v. Lancashire, due to the wetness of the ground, after hooting the front pavilion and demanding their money hack, invaded the wicket and damaged it so seriously that MacLaren, the Lancashire skipper, refused to continue tho match and it was abandoned.
