Eighteen armed robbers captured and looted the steamer Sophia in the Black Sea, and escaped in boats with 50,000 roubles belonging to the Russian bank. General Alikhauoff, a former Governor of Tiflis, was driving, to Alesaudrapol with liis son, Gonoro-i Glioboff and the latter’s wife and daughter, when two bombs were thrown and killed Alikhanofi, Madame Gliebon and tho coachman, and injured others.
