BANKRUPTCY ACT.

Per Press Association. Wellington, July 11. James Rowan, who was arrested in Sydney, was before the Court today on two charges tinder the Bankruptcy Act. One information alleged that on 22ud Juno at Wellington within twelve mouths before presentation of a bankruptcy petition accused quitted Now Zealand and took with him part of his property, valued at upwards of £2OO. A second information alleged that accused fraudulently removed part of his property to the value of £lO and upwards. Accused was remanded till Wednesday, bail being allowed.
