NOMINATIONS, WEIGHTS, ACCEPTANCES & GENERAL ENTRIES. Nominations will closo at the Secretary’s Office, Marton, on FRIDAY, 16th August, as 7 p.iii. Weights will be declared on or about the 21st August in the Rangitlkei Advocate. Acceptances and General Entries on TUESDAY, 27th August, at 8.30 p.m. Weights for Second Day’s Races will, be declared on WEDNESDAY, 4th September, at 8 o’clock, at the office' of the Secretary, Marton. Acceptances the same evening at 0 o’clock at the' same place.

EXILES. All races to bo run under tbo Hew Zealand Rules of Racing. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary Marion Jockey Club, Marton, and entrance money to be enclosed wjtb name of horse, age at time of entry, name of owner and trainer, pedigree, and colours of riders. All nominations by wire must be confirmed by let.er by first mail afterwards. A hunter means a horse whoso owner can produce at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hunt that the horse has been ridden to hounds during the past season to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for a race of .£40 —Hack and Hunter races excepted.
