High Commissioner's Report Per Press Association. •Wellington, June 24. The following is the cablegram from the High Commissioner, dated Loudon 22nd:— The mutton ruarkot is weak and drill sales for heavy carcases. Good demand for prime quality. The average price of Canterbury is 3%d, North Island 3%c1. The lamb market is a shade weaker. Stocks on hand are heavy and widely distributed amongst agents who arc pushing sales. A further drop in prices is imminent. Canterbury brands other than Canterbury od. The beef market is very firm for best quality only, the market is overstocked with infrrior quality and depressed for this class. Hind-quar-ters are quoted at 3%d and fores at per lb. . The butter market is firm; choice New Zealand 995, Siberian 925, Irish 101 s, Danish 109 s. The cheese market is quiet with prices slightly weaker ; New Zealand white 635, coloured 625, Canadian supplies are increasing, new made White from that country is 60s, coloured 595. The hemp market is firmer; good fair on spot is £34-, July-September shipments £33 10s. The price of fair grade on spot is £29 10s and the same price for July-September shipments. The market for Bradford tops is quiet and small business is doing. Following arc current quotations: 3"i's, low "crossbreds, ls4d;4o's, low crossbreds, Is 4^d; 44's, medium crossbreds, Is Gd; 50's, half-breds, Is B)<<d;s6's, quartei-'breds, 2s 60~s, merinos, 2s per lb. Stock Re|)orf. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Age ncv Co., Ltd., Feilding, report for week ending June 22nd as follows:—Kaugiwahia: Both sheep and cattle pens wore fairly well filled. Competition at auction was not brisk, but privately, after the sale, all the sheep with the exception of one pen were sold. Quotations : Sheep: Mixed lambs 8s to 10s 9d, ewe-lambs 12s, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 17s, mixed ages ewes iii lamb 16s 3d to 18s. Cattle: Weaners 28s, %%, vear steers £3 4s fld, forward cows £3, heifers and calves £3 10s, empty heifers £2 to £2 2s 6d, cows and calves £2 ss. At MrPettigrew's sale on Wednesday the bidding was very dragging, probably ..accounted for by the severity of the weather cutting down the feed. However, we succeeded in placing all the sheep with the exception of one or two pens at fair times values. • Sheep: Ewe lambs 12s 2d, mixed lambs 10s, 4 tooth ewes 20s 9d, 6 tooth ewes 18s 3d to 19s Id, 2 tooth ewes in lamb 18s 3d," f.m. ewes in lamb 13s 6d. Cattle: 2>£ vear steers £3 Is, 18 months steers £2 0s 6d. At Feilding on Friday we had a good entry of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Sheen were somewhat slow of sale, but "wo were successful in placing all lines with the exception of three pens at fair values. Sheep: Cull lambs 4s to ss, store ewes 9s 4d to lis -Id, forward ewes 13s Bd, mixed lambs 10s 9d to lis 4d, ewe lambs 14s, s.m. ewes in lamb 17s, 2 tooth ewes ■ (small) in lamb 18s 2d. Cattle : 2K year steers £3 17s Get.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report a good yarding of sheep at their Feilding sale on the 20th inst., all of which were disposed of at satisfactory prices under the hammer. Quotations. —On account Mr L. H. McHardy, Beaulieu, 210 5-year old ewes i'n lamb ISs Id, 200 5-year old ewes in lamb 17s 4d, 118 5-year old swas in lamb 16s 2d. On account of other vendors, 220 lambs mixed sexes 8s 2d, 233 lambs mixed sexes 8s 7d, a line of springing heifers realised from £4 10s to £s~ls. Feilding Market Report. Messrs A. H. Atkinson and 00. report :—A fair entry of pigs came forward on Friday for this time of the year, and .met wtill good competition. An average entry of poultry came to hand which met with keen competition and sold at prices in favour of the vendor. Purebred Minorca cockerels, of which there was a small entry, met with keen demand and realised good prices. Produce camo to hand in larger quantities and sold at late ratos. Quotations.—Horses: Aged harness mare £4l 10s. Pigs: Weimers 4s to ss, small stores (is to 10s, porkers 10s (id to 2.2 s 6d. Poultry: Purebred Minorca cockerels 4s to os 3d, cockerels Is 3d to 2s sd, hens Is 4d to ts Bd, purebred Wyandottes 2s 9d, all at each. Produce : Potatoes pig 2s to 2s Od, tablo do. 10s to lis fid, per sack, onions id per lb, swedes 3s Od, marrows 3s per sack, apples dessert per lb.
