Stock Market. At Palmerston North on Thursday, the yarding of sheep was small, the cattle yards were well filled however, and a good demand existed for all classes, especially forward and fat cows which in most cases realised over vendors’ reserves. A very fine line of 21-year steers, sold on account of Mr. P-, A. McHardy, realised £5 10s. With the exception of one lino of store bullocks every lot was quitted at satisfactory prices. Quotations: —2-tooth ewes in lamb-19s 4d, 2, 1 and G-tooth ewes in lamb 20s, good f.f.m Lincoln ewes 21s, mixed ago ewes in lamb, low condition 13s Gel, forward'ewes 12s, fat ewes and wethers 17s 9d to 18s, cull lambs 7s 7d, fat wethers 19s 3d, 2-tooth wethers lls lid, well-bred 2.1year steers, in good condition £5 10s, fat cows ,Cl. to £5 3s, forward cows £2 los to £3 ss, store cows 25s to £2, 18-mouths heifers 355, good weaners 235, mixed yearlings 31s. —Messes Abhahaw & Williams, Ltd. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on their Palmerston sale as follows: —We had a good yarding of sheep, nearly all of which were sold by auction at satisfactory prices.
