ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

The four-year-old son of Mrs Burn, a visitor from Invercargill, was seriously injured in the D.I.C. lift this afternoon. The child had been riding up and down on the lift, and was being taken out, when he fell, and was caught between the lift and the floor. The little fellow was taken to tha hospital, and is in a critical condition. Wellington, June 19.
At an inquest concerning tho death of David Sutherland, aged 50, a deaf mute, whose body was taken from the harbour yes terday, a verdict of "Found Drowned," was returned.
Auckland, June 20.
The dead body found in Auckland harbour on the 23rd ultimo proves to have been that of a man named John Hodgson, who was last seen just previous to that date, when ho said he was going to visit some friends at Ouehuuga.
