The success of English competitors was phenomenal. Glencross All Fours, an* Australian bred horse, won the first prize of £IOO and tho championship with a high jump of 6ft. 9in. and afterwards won the special prize given by Lord Lonsdale for a jump "of 7ft and over, jumping 7ft. 4in. He was subsequently sold to a Belgian buyer for 500 guineas.
