Woof Sales, Press Assooiatiju—Copyright. London, May 2. Wool, spirited sale; very firm at opening rates. Tlie'N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Ltd,, have received the following cable from their London office : Wool sales opened with spirit on 30th April. As compared with last sale’s closing rates prices are about par to 5 per cent, fewer for coarse crossbred and fine crossbreds, about 5 per cent, to 7J per cent, lower for medium crossbred. Principal decline has been in crossbred, wasty. Market firm for merino.
