Per Press Association. Hokitika, May 2. Mrs Jane Evans, relict of the late James Evans, one of the earliest and most highly respected residents at Hokitika, died this evening after a long and painful illness. .U.UNEbiN, May 3. The inquest on the bodies- of William Casevrlay ami John By tie, killed at Milburn in a blasting accident in February concluded to-day. The verdict was that the men were killed by an explosion caused by a charge blocking in the hole and force being used to clear the blobk.
