The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd., report on their Palmerston sale, held 011 Thursday, as follows:—We had an average yarding of cattle. Owing to the races the attendance of buyers was not as good as usual, and bidding at auctipn was not brisk, but considerable was done privately, and most lines were sold. A good demand existed for weaners. Quotations: Weaners 23s to 25s Gd, yearling steers 37s Gd, forward cows £3 16s, 18 months heifers 28s, line of 100 cows in calf £2. . The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency ‘.Company, Foilding, report as under for week ending 2ith inst;—Rangiwahia, Tuesday: Entry of both sheep and cattle was a small one. Sheep sold well and cattle in sympathy with outside markets were in hotter demand. Quotations.— Sheep; Mixed lambs 10s Gd, cull lambs 7s 2d, empty owes 9s Gd, cull owes 5s 3d, 7s. Cattle : Oowsi n calt £-1 2yoar steers £3 Bs, empty heifers 30 s, fat cows £3 Bs. Peilding, Eri-day.-AVe had a heavy yarding of cattle and a moderate entry of sheep. Sheep were in good demand and sold freely, and a good demand existed for cattle. Quotations. Sheep; Empty ewes 9s sd, cull ewes 5s 9d, wethers 14s 7d, owes in lamb 16s, lambs 6s to 9s 4d. Cattle : Yearling heifers 255, woaner heifers 17s 6d, store cows 325, forward cows £2 10s, springing cows £3 ss, empty forward heifers £2 14s, fat cows £4 4s.

Harris and Son report having sold allotments 1. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 25 of the Spring Creek estate at the vendors’ prices, and also several other _ properties in the district, in.iuding Mr E. Howard’s 420 acres, Pnkpeapa; H. Nitschke’s 110 acres near Marlon; Mr J. Rose’s 375 acres at Bonny Glen; Mr T. White’s coaching plant, Kimholtou to Rangiwahia; Mr G. Fenton’s house and store at Rnahine and a very large number of sections at Mar ton Junction station.
