LAND BOARD.

(Special to Advocate.) At Thursday’s meeting of the Wellington Land Board there were present Messrs J. Strauchau, Commissioner; A. Reese, J. Dawson and J. M. A’Court. The following titles were approved : Section 6, block 5, Hantapu, P. D. Tenueut; section 7, block 5, Hantapu, J. Green; section 8, block 15 Hantapu, J. E. Beckett; section 34, block 3, Hantapu, M. Crowley. Mr Miles, of Fullerton-Smith and Miles, attended and asked for the transfer of section 86, Mangaweka V.S., from J. Buckley to B. E. Adams. —Declined.

Handley to transfer lot 3, section 24, Taihape Village, to W. A. H. Todd; and lots 9, 10 and 11 to O. L. Dymock were approved. The transfer from J. 0. Meyer to J. McNeill jun. of section 88, block 4, Apiti, was not entertained as McNeill did not appear to be eligible. R. H. Hamlett’s application to transfer section 3, block 13, Ohinewairna, to G. W. Batley jwas approved. ~ , „ The transfer of section 3, block 3, Hautapu, from J. Bailie to G. W. Batley was declined. The transfer of section 11, block 13, Kaitieke, from W. H. Homier to O. P. Smith was granted, provided the rental be paid up to date and no further concession allowed. The Commissioner was authorised to transfer of section 10, block 18, Ohinewairua, from W. A. Officer to J. Buckley when he is satisfied Buckley will transfer his present lease. The transfer of section 3, block 14, Pukeokahu, from W. R. Graham to R. Russell was approved, subject to conditions as to payment of rent. All Duck King applied to transfer section 34, Mataroa Village, to H. J. Harris.—Applicant’s residence to date was regarded as satisfactory and the application was approved. There was no power to allow H. E. Vokes, who is working on the Main Trunk railway, to take a partner to fulfil the residence conditions as regards section 4, block 9, Kaitieke.
