The authorities of "Woolwich arsenal aro taking a ballot of all workmen employed regarding tho proposal to close the shops ou Saturday. It is hoped by working five days a week to reduce tho number of discharges by one half at aa average loss of 3s Gd per man.
The majority of Koyal Laboratory employees approve the proposal. Ballots in other workshops are proceeding.
