A fall of earth in South Clifton colliery killed four men, Selby, Cavanagh, Sowden, and Billington,

A fifth man, Garner, was injured at Clifton. Cavanagh escaped the first fall and went to rescue his comrades. He succeeded in getting Billington clear, and was assisting Selby when the second fall occurred and all were buried. The fourth was named Horden, not Sweden. London, April 13.
