ARARIMU
ROLL OF HONOUR A painful reminder that our "boys" were engaged in helping to stop the German onslaught at the end of March was received in Ararimu on Monday last, when word cnme through that Private Tyson Edmondson had died of wounds received on March 29th. It is barely over twelve months since this young soldier was farewelled by the residents just prior to his departure for the training camp. In the interval he had evidently developed into a British soldier Of the first class, since he was placed amongst those entrusted with the holding of a section of the front line at the most critical time in the war. That he proved worthy none who knew him will doubt, and the fact that he gave his services to his country at the time of its direst need will help to soften the blow to his respected parent!, who have the sympathy of the whole district in their loss.
