WEDDING BELLS

A quiet but pretty weddirg was solemnised in All c'aint9' Church, Auckland, un Wednesday last, when when Mr John Patrick Sadler, of Papakura, and Miss Elsie Birdsall, only daughter of Mr and Mtb J. D. Birdsall, of Whangatea, were united in the bondß of matroniony.
The newly-formed ladits' physical culture class was instructed for the first lime on Tuesday evening last, when the band room was taxed to its utmost capacity. The organiser, Mi a M. Anders n, instiuctf.d t ; e pupils. A large number of ladies have intimated their intention- of joining the ranks, and the classes will in future be hi Id in the Public Hall.

Francis It ft for Pukekohe yesterJay tc take up his new duties on the clerical staff of the Railway Department Mr Harold Wilson, with ton' other members of ths Veterinary Corps of the Reinforcements in camp, has been transferred ti the Mounted Troops billeted in Palmerston North, and will leave with the 10th Reinforcements.
After having been a boi.e of contention for some months past, the boiling down works yi the township have been dismantled acd the boilers taken to Ardmore, where they will in future be used by Mr Stokes, butcher.
Trooper E. R. Drake, who was wounded on August 8, left with the fir&t re nforcements for the 11 th, North Auckland Mounted Rifles. He is a son of Mr James Drake, Park Estate, Papakura. Trooper Diake was bom in Auckland and educated at the Mount Eden school. He was employed as a cadet on a farm at Hunua when he enlisted.
