LIBRARY AND READINGROOM.
For Waiuku. At a recent Sunday evening service the K v. J. C Fuisell, vicar of Waiuku ana tuauki', announced to his congregation that he proposed to star' a reading room in Waiuku as §oon as a suitable place could be obtained. He pointed out the very pressing: need tbat existed far some such institution, especially for the large number of young fellows living in the district, away trom their own homes. The minister offered to supply a number of useful and interesting books and papers to start with, and ha invited the con* gregation ti assist him by doing ths same as far as possible. Tbe id?a is to have a cosy and home-like room in a handy position, whera voang men can gp°nd a pleasant and profitable evening in reading, writing or playing quiet ganrs; and it is agreed that tbe institution would prove a lasting boon tu many. Mr Fussell has already enlisted the sympathy of B)m3 of tse leading residents.
