OBITUARY.
Mr Lionel Mellsop.
Widespread regret was expressed j 011 Monday when news was circulated that Mr Lionel Mellsop, of , Otaua, had passed away. It was only about a week previously that I he was going about as usual in : Waiuku and district and his sudden ' end came as a great shock to bis j wife and relatives, also to his many j friends. It appears that he eon- j traeted a cold which quickly led to a fevere attack of pneumonia. Dr; llowden was in attendance on the : patient, but on Sunday it was J thought advisable to also c ill in Dr Lewis, of Auckland. Despite all | that medical skill and careful nurs- j iug could do, however, the eud ciiuie J as above stated.
The deceasod leaves a wife and | threo children, and had attained the j ago of ol> years. He was a sou of the late Mr J. T. Mellsop, and it is j only fourteen months ago since ! a brother of• his passu! away! owing to a similar illness. Deep < sympathy is expressed over j ;i very wide area with Mrs i Mellsop and deceased's lelatives in their sudden aud tad bereavement.
