Pukekohe Gun Club-
Saturday was a wet and boisterous day but nevertheless there was a bio: attendance of shootists at the gun club's range. Twelve competitors took part in the five-bird event, which was wou by Daysh with four tiist-barrel birds, Wright being second with four birds (three fiist-barrel). W. Boase was the only other competitor to grass four. There were seventeen contestants for the trophy presented by the ladies, being a 10 bird event. J. Blake, off 10 yard?, won with ten first-barrel birds. W. Wilson, 18 yds, was second with nine birds. Morally, J. Reynolds, 8 each , B. Fitness, 7 ; Boase, E. McGough, 6 each ; J. Fausett, E. Fausett, Vujucich, •) each ; Wright, Roose, Daysh, E. McGough, R. Reynolds, 4 each ; Kennelly, K. Fitness 2 each.
A swond 10 bird match fur a club trophy was won by J. Eeynolds' nomination, A. P. Daysh (12) shooting for him in his absence and ge'ting tho possible, only one second barrel being used. For himself Daysh got eight : he gratsed 10 consecutive birds. W. McXally (1-3) also got 10 birds but three of them fell to the second barrel. J. Fausett, l» i Wilson. Dayth, Blake, 8 ; Wiight, D. R Eeynolds, 7 ; Roose, E. Fausett, 6 ; S. Fitness, E. McGough, Vujucich, H. Barber, 5 each.
The ladies supplied afternoon tea and the refreshment was greatly appreciated.
