Trophy and Sweepstakes.
Although the perishing elements ot Saturday were altogether against the pigeon shooting pastime, eight members of the Pukekohe Gun Club attended at the ground.
The opening live-bird sweepstakes was won by A. P. Daysh, tivo birds, from six other competitors. J. Fausett and S. Fitness, A each ; J. Wright, W. Boasc and W. McNally, .! each : E. McQough, 0. J. Fausett, 17yds, won Mis J. Hart's trophy with 7 grassed out of the ten birds flown. J. Wright 17 and W. Boise lit, fi each : Daysh 12, 5 birds ; W. McNally I >, F. McGough 10, 4 birds ; S. Fitness I.', •'! each. J. Fausett, 17yds, again proved tin l winner of the six-bird sweepstakes with six lirst-barrel birds. J. Wright, S. Fitness, W. Boase, R, Fitness, :i each; Davsh and McNally, '1 each; K. McGough, I.
Still again J. Fausett scored a win uith tivo lirst-barrel birds in the live-bird event. Daysh and Wright, three lirst-barrel birds oach, shot otf for second place. Daysh won with four tint-barrel kills. Wright also got his fourth clay, but with the second barrel. J. Hon den o, W. Boase ->, W. McNally 0.
