FRANKLIN LICENSING COMMITTEE.
Quarterly Meeting. The quarterly meeting of the Franklin Licensing Committee was held in Pukekohe yesterday; present, Mr E. Kawson. S.M. (in the chair), J. D. Chalmers, W. 'Richaidson, W. C. Motion and P. J. McGovern. J .W. H. LSright, licensee of the Howick hotel, was called to answer a charge that he showed lack of firmness in the conduct of the bar trade. A special case was cited where a party ot yachtsmen went to tha hotel soter and after some time were back at the bo;-1 intrxicated, after having been cutting "drunken antics" in t-.e hotel yard in the presence of the licensee. The licensee suggested that the party may have had orink on their * boat. 'ihe chairman pointed out that the hotel y. rd was part of the license.) promises.
