LAWN TENNIS.

Ihe Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club wen fortui ate in having such a perfect clay as Saturday for the opening of the season. Visitors from Hnntly, liombay and other clubs present and there was a large attendance of members and their friends. Dr Wake, in formally opening the courts for play, welcomed the visitors and expressed the hope that if thty did not have sufficient tennis that day they wojld come on another occasion. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies. The four courts were kept fully occupied the whole afternoon, and good form, considering the earliness of the season, was nhown by many players.
