A good musical programme, raomory and impromptu speech competitions, and dancing after supper, will provide the evening fare. Big attendance expected, and an enjoyable time ensured. At a meeting of the Pukekohe Gun Club on Wednesday night the secretary was authorised to attend to the building of the shed. It was decided that members from other clubs and new members furnish their performances and be handicapped on their merits for the Abbott Cup, that a' reforee be appointed for all matches, that a return match be fired witli Huntly on the 26th inst. and that a competition for Messrs Perkins' and Shotbolt's trophies bo postponed until November 2nd. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr W. T. Wright for his donation of a gold medal. About 50 couples were present at tho Loyal Pukekohe Lodge's (M U.) anniversary At Home iu the Oddfellows' Hall last night. The function was voted a groat success. Many nice frocks were worn and the regalia of tho members added to the brightness of the gathering. Tho music was very good. Supper arrangements were in the hands of Bro. Erlandsun. The lion. sec. (Pro. 11. N. Svendsen) is deserving of special mention for the euthusiasm with which the affair was worked up. The gathering added to the fraternal impulses and provided a further fillip for Oddfellowship in the district.
