PIGEON SHOOTING.

There were thirteen competitors at the pigeon-shooting match in Pukekohe on Saturday and a capital afternoon's sport was witnessed by a good crowd of interested spectators. A sweepstakes of 2s 6d was shot off—first 15s, second ss, third 2s fid and 10s towards the birds. Mouldey (Puni) was the winner with eight kills (all first barrel) out of ten shots. Abbott and Wilson tied for second place with six kills and in the shoot - off Abbott won. Other kills ten birds) were: —I. Motion 4, J. Fawsett 5, Reynolds 4, Gardner 4, Erlandson 4, R. McGough 3, Brown 3, J. Bowden 2 Patullo 2, Pearce 2. The enthusiasm displayed augurs well for the future of the Pukekohe District Club.
