Although »ve aro now in the middle of winter, chaff, pressei hay, potatoes (second crop), strawberry plants, cream, cattle, honey, pork, fruit, poultry, sheep, eggs and butter are among our shipments to the city. Some splendid samplos of chaff and hay have been sent to Sydney. Potatoes (botli table and seed) grown on the sunny slopes of Tuhimuta are commanding; i top,_ prices. Large iiuaiititios of timber, wire, pests, bricks and building material are being sent to this district and everywhere are evidences of prosperity.
