Owing to grave drought conditions in the State Hydro-electric Department’s storage basins at Taupo and Waikaremoana the power will be cut off throughout the Board’s area in accordance with the following schedule:— MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY OF EACH WEEK—10.30 p.m. to 2.30 a.m. next day. THURSDAY OF EACH WEEK—10.30 p.m 1 to 12.30 a.m. next day. SATURDAY OF EACH WEEK—--1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and 10.30 p.m. to 3.30 a.m. next day. SUNDAY OF EACH WEEK—--1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and 9.30 p.m. to 1.30 a.m. next day. All or any of these shutdown - may be imposed according to the necessity to keep within the emergency quota, as directed by the State Hydro-electric Department, IMPORTANT— These shutdowns are mandatory. Any persons who are served by lines which remain alive for Hospital or Railway services must observe the hours of shutdown as given in the schedule. Penalty: Disconnection of supply, and prosecution.
