PUTARURU R.S.A.
APRIL MEETING Those present at the April meeting of the Putaruru branch of the R.S.A. were Mr P. D. Morrison, who presided, Messrs N. Stanton, C. Thompson, F. Peters, R. Puch, A. Barr, G. Rose, K. G. Sager, L. S. Addenbrooke and D. Leggatt. Apologies were received from Messrs J. Rolfe, F. Flavall and P. Munro. Mark of Respect At the suggestion of the president members stood in silence for a moment as a mark of respect at the passing of Mrs Flavall, and it was resolved to send a letter of sympathy to Mr Flavall, a vice-pre-sident of the branch, and his family. Australian Good Wishes A letter was read from Mr A. R. Cutler, High Commissioner for Australia, expressing sentiments appropriate to Anzac Day and conveying best wishes to the branch on behalf of the Australian Government. It was decided to thank Mr Cutler for his letter. Recent Smoko Members who had been present at the recent smoko spoke of the good show it had been, and it was generally regsetted that the attendance was not greater. The president was thanked for the way he had organised' the successful event. f Transfers The transfer of members, two in and 12 out, was approved. /
