FINANCIAL MEMBERSHIP Putaruru 71st In Dominion The New Zealand Returned Services’ Association with 136,119 financial members' is now one of the strongest organisations in the Domin ion. Of that figure no less than 02,281 saw service in the recent war of 1939-45, and the total increase in membership for tho year is 20,989, being an increase of 18.23 per cent. There are now 101 branches of the association, divided as follows: North Island .... 80 89,203 South Island . . .. 21 46,916 Totals ioi 136,119 All of the above returns are for the end of the financial year, March 31, 1947, and statistics for some of the branches, with their position in the financial membership ladder, are as follow, tho figures in parentheses being the number who served in the war of 1939-45:
