FAREWELL AND WELCOME
TENDERED TO BROTHERS
Messrs. Peter and Henry Tulloch, sons of Mrs. C. Tulloch, of Putaruru, were the guests of honour at a social evening given for them by friends, and held in the rest rooms on Saturday last. There. was a good attendance and a most enjoyable evening resulted. The function was held in the form of a dance, music being supplied by local talent. Mr. M. Bramble proved a capable M.C. During the evening Mr B. J. Howland, on behalf of those present, made a brief speech of farewell to Henry, who is a member of the J Force. He wished him all the best of luck, and made him a presentation of a cigarette case. Mr. Howland also took the opportunity to extend a warm welcome to Peter, who has. returned only recently from overseas, and to make him a small presentation also. .Both guests of honour suitably replied. A tasty supper was served, after which dancing was again resumed.
