Many thousands of pounds will be paid out by Waikato dairy companies to suppliers on May 20 in the form of an interim deferred payment amounting to a penny a pound of butterfat on supplies up to March 31. This payment is being made as a measure of relief to suppliers because of the drought conditions in the summe:
