j PINEDALE v. PUTARURU Pinedale gained an outright win over Putaruru in a game played over the week-end. Conditions were ideal and the match was enjoyed by all. Needing 143 runs to get in 11 hours, Putaruru still wanted 35 after being all out. TOKOROA v. ARAPUNI Thi s match, played at Tokoroa, resulted in a win for Arapuni by an* innings and 33’ runs. The Arapuni skipper, B. Lowry, won the toss and sent Tokoroa in to bat. The Tokoroa batsmen failed against the Arapuni attack, only Puckey reaching double figures, this batsman resisting the bowlers for an hour and 10 (minutes and only scoring 11 runs. The team were out for 22. Arapuni replied with 72, B. Lowry and Barr batting well, each player hitting a six. In their second strike Tokoroa fared even worse than at their first attempt, and were all dismissed for 18. For Arapuni, B. Lowry, R. Lowry and Badham bowled well.
