PUTARURU SALE Good Prices For Yearling Jersey Heifers A successful sale was held by Newton King, Limited, at Putaruru on Monday 29th November. Large yardings of sheep and cattle came forward. The advertised line of two-tooth ewes on account of Messrs. E. Johnson and Son came forward in good condition and sold up to 26s Bd. The run cattle on acount of the same vendors showed a slight decline I on late rates. I The 170 advertised yearling Jersey heifers on account of Mr. B. Kippenherger came forward in excellent condition, quality throughout being prominent. Buyers were present from many parts of Waikato, and excellent sales resulted as pleasing values. Toilquality' yearlings sold at the high value of £8 ss. The average price realised was £7 10s. Pull yardings of fat pigs and store pigs were penned. Baconers and porkers showed no alteration in values, while store pigs and weaner pigs were slightly easier. Prices were:— , Sheep.— Shorn wether hoggets, 21s to 235. Pat ewes, 12s to 14s 6d. Pat wethers, 23s to 245. Shorn two-tooth ewes, 23s to 26s Sd. Cattle.— Three-year Polled Angus steers, mixed, £7 16s to £8 2s. Two-year Polled Angus steers, small, £6 12s 6d to £7 3s. Two-year Polled Angus heifers, £4 15s to £5 ss. Three-year Polled Angus heifers, £6 to £6 ss. Xearling Jersey heifers, tops, £8 4s to £8 ss. Xearling Jersey heifers, £7 to £7 14s. Yearling Jersey heifers, smaller, £5 to £6 17s 6d.
