The Thames Valley Drainage Board is concerned about the prevalence of blackberry growth in the vicinity of drains in the board’s area In some cases the growth on the banks has met and covered the drains and hampered the work of clearing the drains. The board has power to enforce the removal of blackberries or to have the work done and recover the cost through the Magistrate’s Court.
