In return for the -rail concessions recently made by the Railway Department, it is hoped that the farming community will loyally support the railways in their transport jobs, states the Dominion Executive of the Farmers’ Union.
For the six mouths ended April 30, 1932, the total yardings of shetp at live-stock sales and sheep fairs were 2,772,133. Out of this huge number only 1,223,748 were conveyed by rail either to the sales or from them.
