WALTON—STRANGE. The wedding'; of »"Miss Winifred Margaret Strange, -eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Strange, of Mangaiti, to Mr. Ronald Walton, of No. 7 road, Waitoa, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Walton, of Leeds, England, was celebrated, at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Te Aroha, on Wednesday. Rev. C. W. Turner officiated. The choir, of which the bride was a member, was in attendance, assisting in the full choral service. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory satin beaute cut on long slender lines and falling in full flares to the ground. The tight-fitting sleeves, coming to a point, were tapered at the wrists, where they exposed lace mittens. The veil, which formed a train, was of tulle and blonde lace caught in a cap at the head with orange blossoms and falling to show a spray of roses appliqued in lace. The bride carried a sheaf of Madonna lilies with tulle streamers falling to-the, full length of the frock.

In attendance as bridesmaids were Misses Jessie and Ethel Strange, sisters of the bride, and Miss Gwen Jameson, who wore frocks patterned on the same lines but of different colours. Miss J. Strange’s frock was of floral mousseline in pink and primrose scalloped on to a deep band of primrose georgette and mounted on, primrose satin. Over a tightfitting bodice was worn a floral scalloped coatee with fully-flared cuffs of primrose georgette. Her picture hat of the same shade had the brim lifted to reveal . a spray of pink roses. Shoes to match and silk mittens completed a charming ensemble. Misses E. Strange and Jameson were frocked similarly, but in shades of rose with hats and shoes to tone. Each bridesmaid carried a Victorian posy to tone with her frock. The little flower girl, Edna Brown, wore a full-length frock of primrose georgette with fully-shirred bodice and trimmed with satin ribbon. Her cap Of georgette was trimmed at the sides with massed pink and primrose flowers from which fell satin streamers. Mr. J. Dugdale was best man, and Messrs. Cliff Strange and A. Dinsdale were ushers. After the ceremony about 70 guests attended a reception at “ Belle Vue ” Farm, the residence of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Strange received her guests in a frock of black georgette relieved with jade, with hat to tone. Her bouquet was of lavender and blue flowers.
