“No man who owes money should smoke,” said Mr. T. I. Lomanson at a meeting of creditors at Stratford. He said he was sure bankrupt’s smoking cost him 5s per week, or £l3 per annum. The debt had been owing for about seven years, during which time bankrupt had smoked tobacco of much more value than the debt owed to the speaker.
