HINTS ON PIGS.
Don’t jump in am.d out of t!hp pig Lins in ess. The pig is the most economical meat producer on the lUinm. There is no farm an’mal which brings returns so quickly as the pig. Make pig 'raising fit into other farm operations. Don’t overcrowd the pigs in the feeding pens. There should be sufficient room at the trough or troughs far all p’®s to feted comfortaibly. When pigs 'are compelled to eat. drink, and live in filth, then we must expect them to get worms, and consequently to be unthrifty and unprofitable. Provide troughs for feeding the pigs. Do not put food on tihe ground and thus force the pigs to eat mud anJd filth with th'eir food. Generaly speaking ti does not pay to cook food for pigs. Potatoes, however, are ta exception to this rule. Rotates shoulld always be cooked for p'lgs. They are not used to the best advalntage wikeu they arel fed raw. The 'best doctor tor your pigs, and also other live stock, is old Doctor Sanitation. If plenty of good food of the proper kind is Bed, and plenty of clean water given, seasoned with a liberal amount of common-sense germs will not iget a start.
