The friends of Mrs. A. C. Vosper, who Has been seriously ill in hospi 1 1, will he pleased to know that it was reported this morning that Mrs. Vosper shows distinct improvement. At the last meeting of the Matamata County Council the engineer stated, in response to Cr. Darby, that ‘he agreement with the Waotu Timber Company had been cancelled and that the position now was .that they were back on the old agreement, under which the company paid a royalty of Is per 100 feet on all timber carted. At the Morrinsville Borough Couneil meeting on Thursday, "a letter from the Matamata County Council suggested that counsel should he en-o-aged in connection with the hearing before a magistrate of the dispute in connection /with the allocation of heavy traffic fees. The council agreed to the suggestion, and appointed Cr. McPherson to attend a forthcoming conference in this connection.
