STOCK. Messrs Freeman Jt. Jackson and Goreport that at their Johnsonvilie sale on \\ ednesday the cattle var ied were, with a few exceptions, indifferent in both weight an i quality. Messrs Stevens and Gorton report:— \\ ■ held a stock sale at Martou on 24tb, at Fell ling on tlie ‘fifth, and horse sale yesterday. At Marlon the number of sheep rame forward that were advertised, and we had a very successful sale, selling every l*en but one, and nearly all under the hammer. At Feilding more stock came forward than was advertised, every yard w as filled and nearly everything was sold. The horse S'lle at Bulls was very largely attended. the entries were numerous, bit ihe difference in the vendors’ opinion of their vslue and of what tlie buyers were prepared to give was in most instances so great that the majority of the horses were turned out unsold. We quitted HH under the hammer at satisfactory prices. We quote as follows:—Cattl*—Marton : Milch cows, £8 7s fid; 18 month steers, 235. Feilding Forward bullocks, i‘B 18s to £4; fat heifers, £8 5s to £8 12s fid ; fat cows, £8 Ills fid ; springing heifers. £8 ; store cows, 2t*s 6-1. Khkkp—Marton : Fat wethers 14s ; store. 10s fi.l to 11s fid ; lambs. Its 4d to H-7d. Feilding : Fat wethers, 12s 3d to 14s; forward wethers. 12s 9d ; store wethers, 11s to Pis; woolly lambs, 9s to 9s Id ; shorn, various prices, from 4s 4d to *s* 7d. 11 ousts —Bulls: Fnnliroke draft cults and fillies. £8 10s to £l3 10s ; broken, £7 10s to 420; hacks, unbroken, £4 to £7 5s ; broken. £5 2s Oil to £l2 10s.
