PAHIATUA SCHOOL.
Mr Inspector Lee examined the above school on Tuesday an dWednesday, and expressed himself as very well satisfied with the condition of the school and the work done. There is no doubt had it not been for “la grippe ” tlie percentage of passes would have been larger ; but oven as it is the result is most satisfactory, and reflects every credit on Mr Yeats and his assistants. There were presented in the various standards. 88 ; absent, 1 ; excepted, 10 ; passed, 70 ; failed, 7. Percentage of passes, 91. Tlie following are the names of the scholars who passed : Standard I.—Charles Avery. William Armitage, Edgar Boult, Wm, Hicks, Jas. McLaughlan, Wm. McCarthy, Wm. Orr, Annie Avery, Joan Birnie, Ada Coe, Laura Hughes, Maud I’arkes, Annie Price, and Laura Wakeman. Standard ll.—Hugh Avery, Wm. Coe, Arthur Futcher, John Jensen, Robert Ritter, Fred Sedcole, James Stewart, Frank Tidswell, Thomas Vile, Lily Best. Ethel Black, Annie Bottomley, Leah Caselberg, Betsy Christiansen, Lilian Coe, Gertrude Firmston, Nelly Futcher, Nelly Mills, Hannah McKay, Tessa l’arkea, Ethel Reese, and Kitty Stewart. Standard lll.—Maurice Avery, Alex. Dawson, William Futcher, John Mills, Hamilton Moore, Frank Sedcole, Charles Skipper, Harry Vile, Agnes Baron, Robv Birnie, Jane Boyden, Edith Coe, Ruth Knight, Annie liopke, Flora Marsh, and Lucy Wakeman. Standard IV.—Alex Birnie, Wilfred Black, Charles Hyde, Karl Kopke. Wm. Miller, George Price, Win. Y’ule, Emma Gregory, Fleda Knight, Bessie Mills, Sarah McLaughlin, Agnes Naylor, and Alice Sedcole.
