MASTERTON.
(Telegraphed by our own correspondent.) * This Day. Mr Nathaniel Isaacs, formerly auctioneer in Wellington, hut lately proprietor of the Duke of Edinburgh hotel, died this morning after a brief illness. He hud lieen stiflering from typhoid fever and pleurisy. About midnight last night the dwelling house of Mr K. Col lo tie, situated at Hast well 's Clearing, Man gainahoe, with contents, was destroyed bv fire. The budding and furniture was insured in the South British for i.'~o(). The cause is attributed to a spark from a hush lire still burning at I last well's Clearing. CoUotte estimates his loss nt i'lliO over insurance. Mr Angus McMaster, of Greytown, one of our oldest settlers, is in feeble health, and is now sinking fast.
