Town Loan Poll.

It is with very great pleasure we have to announce the carrying of the proposal yesterday authorising the Town Hoard to borrow .€<Boo for street improvements. Credit is due to several members of the Hoard, as well as private individuals, for the earnest manner in which they worked to secure voters ; and we must not forget to thank those ratepayers who came from Woodville, as without their assistance it is more than likely the result xvould have been rexer.sed.

The number of ratepayers on the rill xvas IGH, representing 200 votes; tho number who actually polled was 86, representing 115 votes; thus the proposal was carried by 2 in voters and 14 in votes.

There was not a single vote against the proposal, and hut one informal vote.
