POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANKS.

The following are the regulations for the above Bank : 1. Interest at the rate of 4$ per cent, per annum is given on 1.200 and under ; at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum on sums under E 500; and in the same proportion for any shorter time on every complete LI deposited, provided tliat no interest he allowed on more than L.Mn)2. Depositors in th» Post-Office Saxings Banks have direct Government security for the prompt payment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post office Banks may continue his depoit in any other of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post-office Bank which is most convenience to him. 4. The strictest secrecy in observed with respect to the Names of the Depositor* in Post-office Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. 5. Money may he deposited by or on behalf of minors. De|>ositors over sexen years of age are treated as persons »f full age. but minon under seven years of age cannot withdraw their dejH»sits until they have reached the age of seven. f». Applications to the Chief Office* in each Province on the business of Postoffice Savings Banks, and the replies sent thereto are free from charge or postage 1 .
