A Mysterious Shooting Tragedy.
A Brisbane telegram, dated 11th January, says: “ A shooting tragedy was discovered shortly after sundown yesterday at North Toolburra station, it uppt ars that two youths, one named I, . eil lt>, ti e only -on of Mr J. It. Boss, malinger of the local branch of tin* A.. 1.5. Bank, and the other ltiitz. son ofMr Louis Kuitz, surveyor, ri .ding in Brisbane, hud been out shoiuin,' during the afternoon, and sir itly after -nndnwn an employe at t • station found both lying dead about a mile from tbe bead station, t: , bad 1.. cln st torn away. The butt of las gun was splintered and some -philters bad pierced his chest hi lb, ei. poll of the heart, Kuitz,who was lying about a yard or two away, bad Ins skull blown away. Both i dies, w hich pre-ented a ghastly sight, were conv. yed to the head station and ti.eiio to Warwick where they were Buried to day. The affair created a p ..found sensation. The cause of the t. (g.dy is involved m mystery, as no on.- witnessed it. Therefore nothing is known as to how it occurred. The ippo.-itimi i.s that, from the position of ilit- bodies, Buitz s gun must have n actually gone off, killing Boss, and tliat Kuitz bulling what he had done, ' l himself. They were schoolmates, ■d wi re spending the Christmas vacation together.
