'THE PROHIBITION POLL. Electors who are still undecided as to how they will .vote .at the forthcoming Prohibition poll will do well to calmly analyse the arguments, presented by both The Trade and the Prohibition Party. Supporters of the liquor traffic are mainly relying on the old catch cry of “Wosers” in their efforts to discountenance arguments put forth by those in favour of reform. It is well, therefore, to remember that ah. absolutely impartial and unbiassed report bn the value of Prohibition to the nation is available fox the consideration of everyone. The National Efficiency Board considered the ■ liquor business hnd heard evidence from every section pf the community. The Trade placed its facts before the Board, and ; so did the Prohibition advocates, while the other sections of the farmers, business folk, and Workers—also gave evidence. Glance over the faames of the members of the B6ard which heard the evidence. There is not one of them to whom the term ‘wowser” could.be remotely applied. Then read the .reasons outlined in their report recommending National Prohibition with compensation. The Board expressly stated that it had purely con- ; sidered the matter from the point of view of national wealth and efficiency and no moral considerations were ab lowed to weigh with it. Every patriotic citizen should be guided by its r deCision. Therefore, vote for the child next Thursday. Be sure yoto vote early. 37
