LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Marlborough Land Board was held in Blenheim last Tuesday. There wore present: The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr H. D. McKollar), Messrs J. Fulton, J. S. Storey, J. Boyd, and A. McCaUum. Alfred Thomson, who holds a yearly license over section 16a, Block XIV., Wakamarina Survey District, applied for permission to follow sawmiller to fell remaining bush and grass the area. —Permission - granted if arrangement made with sawmiller.

The Board was requested to consider the adjourned applications of V. B. Turner, Arthur S. Turner, and T. C. Redmond for a pastoral license over Bun 10 (Chetwode Island). —Recommended for approval of the Minister that a license under section 255 of the Land Act, 1908, for a term of three years at the upset rent of £l6 per annum be offered by public auction. Section 3a, Block 1., Wakamarina Survey District, 7 acres 3 roods 38 perches, transfer from 'William W. Mears to Alfred Hill. —Referred to Ranger for report. Section 48, Block I, Wakamarina Survey District, 335 acres, transfer from N. J. Delamore to Alexander Maule. —Adjourned. Area in Block V., Wakamarina Survey District, 70 acres approx., tenure occupation with right of purchase; applicant, Harry Frost. The Under-Secretary intimated that the Minister approved of the grant. —Received. Application provisionally granted. Survey fees to be paid.—Express. '
