FOOTBALL.

The return match—Married versus Single—is to take place at Brownlee Park, Havelock, on Saturday next at 2.30 p.m. and as the proceeds are for Patriotic purposes patrons should not miss seeing a splendid exposition of first-class players—especially as among the married men are to be found several old-time representatives. The personel of the married team is: A. Scott (full-back), L. Smith, N. Simonsen and E. Forest (three-quarters), Dobson (five-eights), Bert Field (half), Forwards, V. Geary, Elliott, D. Thomas, Opie, Dug Galloway, Bun. Twiddle,) Arthur Reade (Capt.*), J. Buncombe, and W. Blaylock. ■ Mr Owen Passau is officiating as referee. Afternoon tea may be provided by the, ladies for the players, but we are not too sure about it. •

The colts, it is understood, have a perfect combination and therefore a very keen fast game is expected. Given fine weather all lovers of true sport should not miss the opportunity of seeing such Ex-reps, as D. Galloway, J. Dobson, E. Forest, L. Smith, Opie, and Buncombe, who are using their best endeavours to reach their old-time form.
