Germany has formally refused to grant an armistice. The Germans continue to advance on Petrograd.
THE BRITISH FRONT. EFFECTIVE BOMB DROPPING.
LONDON, Feb. 27.
Sir Douglas Haig reports hostile artillery activity at Flesquieres and Ypres. A French communique says there is marked reciprocal artillery action north of the Chemin-des-Dames and on both banks of the Meuse, especially at Hill 304, the Mort Homme, Beaumont, and Chambrettes.
Our night fliers dropped 1200 bombs, chiefly on aerodromes at Ghent, Tournai and Courtrai, and billets at Dquai and St. Quentin
